The KS Code

At Knightsbridge School we all follow a simple a set of rules known as the KS Code:

I will remember how lucky I am and do my best at everything

I will try to do something creative everyday

I will remember to walk fast and not to run

I will try not to let others feel lonely

I will say nothing that will be hurtful to others

I will treat others as I would like to be treated

If I have any worries I will talk to an adult I trust

I will respect others and their possessions

I will remember that giving and sharing are the best feelings in the world

Science

The Science laboratory at Knightsbridge School underwent extensive refurbishment during the summer of 2010. It offers a light, spacious and modern environment in which pupils take pleasure learning.

At every opportunity from the offset, pupils at Knightsbridge School are encouraged to develop their investigative skills and learn through practical experience. Curiosity is celebrated along with a fundamental grasp of the basic concepts in science.

The pupils enjoy using state of the art software and equipment delivered by a specialist science teacher. Throughout the school, Science is differentiated into the three core sciences by topic allowing smooth transition from Junior to Senior.

A specialised science curriculum is delivered on entering the Junior School. Every year group covers appropriate theory and conducts investigative work. It is hoped that they are able to connect science theory to everyday life from a young age and build on these skills and ideas year by year. Children start following the Common Entrance syllabus on entering the senior school. The pupils cover all aspects of the syllabus within two years to enable focus on exam technique and questions answering in the lead up to exams.
