Our Year 3 pupils have been working incredibly hard in their drama lessons this term, exploring and performing poetry as part of the inspirational annual Poetry Together project, an initiative founded by @gylesbrandreth and @dukes_education ! This year’s theme was ‘Memories and Dreams’.

To celebrate their achievements we invited parents and grandparents into Knightsbridge to share in their recitals over a wonderful afternoon tea. Pupils performed ‘The Land of Nod’ by Robert Louis Stevenson to rapturous applause. We were also treated to special performances from some of our fantastic parents, grandparents, and of course, our very own Mr. Magoo!

A huge well done to all of Year 3 for presenting their parts so wonderfully; we are so proud of you all!

Congratulations to our talented group of Year 11 engineers who, unfazed by the sixth form competition, won best presentation at a Dukes Education sustainable engineering event! 🎉🥇

Our students were tasked with making a fictional school in California more sustainable by designing and modelling wind turbines thereby developing their ability to think creatively and innovatively outside of the classroom. Important life skills in teamwork and communication which we at Knightsbridge School seek to instill within our pupils were also challenged. 💪🏻

Thank you to @dukes_education for providing this opportunity for our Year 11s to apply their learnt knowledge into a real-world environmental situation.

With the vast majority of ISA member schools participating, the standard of artwork submitted across all categories was extraordinarily high.

Today we celebrated our annual Harvest Festival at @stpaulsknightsbridge We reflected on how much we share with the natural world and gave thanks for the harvest. It was wonderful to see so many children taking part and the whole congregation coming together to sing joyful numbers such as Autumn Days and Beautiful World. Thank you to our Year 3 and Year 6 Captains for their warm welcome, followed by songs and poems from Year 1, 2 and 3. And a special thank you to our Seniors in Year 8 for their poetry recital and our Headmaster Adam Anstey for his warm reflections.

Seeing so many of our wonderful parents take the time to join in our special celebration is such a reminder of our incredible community spirit; one of happiness and joy.

Today, Year 2 had an incredible time exploring the London Archives, diving deep into the history of the Great Fire of London. Highlights included examining historical documents and looking at the original floorplans of the famous bakery on Pudding Lane where the blaze first began.

🚨🚨Year 1 Knightsbridge School pupils were bursting with excitement today as they joined author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler for the press launch, at Waterstones Piccadilly, of their long awaited new Gruffalo book, Gruffalo Granny. This exclusive invitation to our pupils, parents and teachers marked the publishing of the first new Gruffalo story in over 20 years. Featuring much-loved characters, this fresh and exciting new Gruffalo adventure sees the return of much-loved characters and, of course, the deep dark wood.

To hear Julia Donaldson’s very first reading of Gruffalo Granny was truly inspiring for our pupils. They could barely contain their excitement too, as they were interviewed on ITV for the national news!

Cultivating a joy of reading is such an essential element of our curriculum at Knightsbridge School and we are especially fortunate to be in central London with these incredible opportunities on our doorstep.
