The Classroom as the ‘Third Practitioner’
Our Reception classrooms are not just rooms, they are designed as additional learning tools. Set up to be warm, nurturing, and stimulating, the layout acts as a “Third Practitioner”. Resources are positioned to encourage children to take the lead in their own education.
-
Child-Led Discovery: We foster independence by allowing children to pursue their own ideas and make choices, while our educators provide the framework to turn those choices into learning moments.
-
Specialist Integration: Children continue to enjoy our rich specialist timetable, enjoying sports in local green spaces such as Holland Park and Burton Court and building confidence in the Arts as they perform on stage in their Winter plays.

A Personalised Learning Journey
We don’t believe in a “one size fits all” education. At Knightsbridge, we see your child as a unique individual with distinct skills, interests, and ideas.
-
Observation-Led Planning: We carefully observe each child’s spontaneous access to learning. These insights allow us to tailor day-to-day experiences to their specific well-being and developmental needs.
-
Digital Learning Journeys: We document this progress in a beautiful, personalised Learning Journey. Shared with parents at the end of each full term, this digital story captures their academic progress, social interactions, and amazing achievements that make the Reception year so special.
