One Eco-System of Happiness
At Knightsbridge, we are proud to develop happy, confident students who are interesting and interested in the world around them. We are thrilled to be able to provide a stimulating education and supportive pastoral care for our students from Nursery to GCSE.
In this way, students get what they need when they need it and are encouraged to carve out their own path whether it be academic or the arts. Each will be unique. The focus on the whole child is achieved by providing opportunities across academic subjects, sport, performing and creative arts and well being.
Encouraging students to embrace the opportunity, to find the thing or things they love and to have a go. Valuing the skills and talents each person has is at the heart of all that we do and by creating an eco-system of happiness we believe leads to all-round achievement!
Six Aims
- Atmosphere – We aim to create a stimulating, positive and caring learning environment based on friendly communication, close partnerships, mutual trust and respect.
- Autonomy – We aim to foster self-motivation, independence and curiosity so that we grow in confidence to achieve the highest standards in all that we do.
- All-rounder – We aim to develop individual all-round achievement in the areas of learning, leadership, music, art, sport and drama by providing a wide variety of opportunities, expertise and extra-curricular activities allowing children with varied interests to shine.
- Attitude – We aim to establish a lifelong love of learning so that our children are inspired to strive for excellence and in doing so they become interesting, engaged and fulfilled.
- Achievement – We aim to provide a holistic, balanced and varied curriculum which enables our children to develop the knowledge, skills and values they need to tackle challenges and achieve their full academic potential.
- Action – We aim to be a positive influence in the community by fostering the qualities of respect, discipline and a sense of responsibility, so that we are compassionate, collaborative, and committed to making a difference.
Twelve Values – KS Code
We follow a simple set of 12 rules known as the KS Code which was written by Magoo Giles, Founder and Principal of Knightsbridge School, in memory of his own parents.
The KS code is built on human values and we expect all of our children, parents, and staff to follow it both in and out of school.
Of course, no one is perfect and mistakes are made, but the KS Code allows us to be ourselves and to push our individual strengths and weaknesses, learning to enjoy our successes but push ourselves and learn to fail well and fast and learn from it in a community or family that really cares.
