A Warm Welcome To International Families

Guiding You Through Every Step of Your Relocation to London

At Knightsbridge School (KS), we are proud to be a “home away from home” for families from across the globe. With over 40 nationalities represented in our student body, we offer a truly global school community in the heart of central London.

Whether you are relocating for work, returning to the UK, or seeking a world-class British education, our dedicated team is here to ensure a smooth, welcoming transition for pupils aged 3 to 16. We make joining from overseas simple and personal. Our team works closely with families and relocation agents to manage every detail.

Why International Families Choose Knightsbridge School

  • Central London Heritage: Located in the prestigious Knightsbridge, Kensington, and Chelsea area, we are minutes away from Hyde Park and world-class museums like the V&A.

  • English School Experience, Global Outlook: We celebrate our diverse community while providing a traditional “English school experience” based on the principles of kindness, confidence, and community.

  • Exceptional Pastoral Support: From “Buddy” peer mentoring for new students to dedicated Parent Representatives for new families, we ensure everyone settles quickly and happily.

What is the admissions process when applying from overseas?

  1. Enquire: Submit an enquiry form here or email admissions@knightsbridgeschool.com
  2. Meet us: Book a visit to the school if you are in the UK, or alternatively our registrar will be happy to arrange an online meeting with you to learn more.
  3. Register: Register your child using the online form here.
  4. References & Assessments: We will need you to send us a copy of your child’s recent school report and a reference from their current school. Depending on your child’s age, we may invite them for an assessment and an interview with a senior member of staff.
  5. Visa Support: We will check all visas are in order. If your child is accepted, an offer letter will be issued and you have three weeks to accept or decline.

What year group will my child join?

We provide individualised support to help children from different academic systems adapt quickly. The UK education system is structured into stages based on age and development. At Knightsbridge School, we guide pupils through Early Years (age 3-5), Juniors (age 5-11), and Seniors (age 11-16).

What EAL support do you offer?

Our Learning Support Department provides a warm and nurturing environment for pupils whose first language is not English. We leverage our small class sizes to create a safe and supportive classroom setting, ensuring every EAL pupil feels comfortable and confident. Our low teacher-to-student ratio means that our teachers can provide pupils with lots of individual attention and personalised support, helping them to build confidence and fluency.
