The journey from the Early Years to the Junior School is an exciting step at Knightsbridge. We don’t just move children from one classroom to another; we carefully bridge the gap to ensure they enter Year 1 with the confidence, curiosity, and the skills required to achieve academically and beyond.
To ensure every child feels secure, our Reception pupils spend quality time with their upcoming Year 1 teachers in the summer term, getting to know them and becoming familiar with their new classroom space.

Classroom Swap Days: Children visit their new Junior classrooms to become familiar with the environment and resources.

Shared Play & Assembly: By participating in whole-school events and shared break times throughout the year, the Junior School already feels like “their” school long before September arrives.
