Behind our iconic blue doors on Pont Street, you’ll find a world of educational excellence with a real buzz – something we’ve coined the ‘KS Magic’.
But outside those doors, you will find world-famous department stores like Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Hermès. Or if shopping isn’t your thing, the Science, Natural History and V&A museums are also just a short walk away. Rather than stand intimidated by all these London landmarks, we consider ourselves among them as one of the few independent schools offering a truly seamless education journey – from Nursery all the way to GSCE.
Founded in 2006 by our founder, Magoo Giles, Knightsbridge School is a co-educational independent day school for children aged 3 to 16. Part of the Dukes Education family since 2018 and built on our own KS Code, we’ve provided exceptional eduactional service for 20 years to families in the Knightsbridge, Chelsea and Belgravia areas, offering a rare combination of excellence, community and happiness.

Our excellent teaching is shaped by Six Aims:
Threaded through everything from Nursery to Year 11, our curriculum builds preparation for 11+ and 13+ entrance examinations follows the ISEB syllabus from Year 5, with senior staff tailoring the approach to each child rather than running a single fixed programme for every pupil.
Knightsbridge was one of the first schools to bring Place2Be, the children’s mental health charity, into daily school life. It sits alongside a values-led culture where staff know pupils individually, not just by year group.
Pupils here have performed in the West End, competed in fencing at Commonwealth Games level, and gone on to win senior school scholarships in music, drama and sport. One recent leaver was awarded an Honorary Fencing Scholarship at Harrow School, a fitting result for a school where the arts and sport are treated as seriously as anything in the classroom.
Twenty years after admitting our first pupils in 2006, and twenty years into life in this postcode, Knightsbridge School remains genuinely close-knit: co-educational, non-selective at entry, and small enough that no child gets lost in the building around them.

Given the density of the area, most local families walk, cycle or take a short bus journey rather than drive. For those who do need to park, the NCP car park at Cadogan Place and pay-and-display bays on surrounding streets are the closest options, though we’d always encourage walking where the school run allows.
Recent Knightsbridge leavers have secured places and scholarships at schools including Queen’s College, JAGS, Alleyn’s, Francis Holland Sloane Square, Emanuel, Queen’s Gate, Dulwich College, Charterhouse, St Mary’s Ascot and Stowe, spanning academic, sporting, musical and dramatic achievement.
We are inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) and are members of the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) and the Independent Schools Council (ISC). Our 2016 inspection recognised excellence across the board, and our most recent routine inspection took place in 2026. Full reports are available on our ISI Reports page.
