As Knightsbridge School proudly celebrates its landmark 20th anniversary milestone, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Adam Anstey as our new Headmaster, who will join us from 1st September 2026.
Adam will succeed Ms Shona Colaço, who is stepping down at the end of the academic year following 14 years of outstanding, transformative leadership. Under Ms Shona’s dedicated tenure as both Deputy Head and Head, Knightsbridge School achieved monumental milestones – most notably expanding our senior provision to Key Stage 4 and GCSEs, and consistently securing exceptional ISI inspections that cemented our reputation as a vibrant, academically flourishing community.
“As we celebrate Knightsbridge School’s 20th anniversary in the coming weeks, I am excited to introduce Adam to our vibrant and special community, while also thanking Ms Shona for her 14 years of outstanding service. I know that Adam will make a superb addition to our school, and I very much look forward to supporting him as he leads us forward.”— Mr Magoo, Founder and Principal
Adam joins Knightsbridge School with more than twenty years of elite independent sector experience spanning the entire 2–18 age range. He arrives directly from our Dukes Education sister school, Broomfield House, where his leadership delivered world-class results. Under his direction, Broomfield House achieved an ‘Outstanding’ ISI inspection report in December 2025 and was named one of the Top 100 Schools in the World in the prestigious Spear’s Index for two consecutive years.
An experienced educationalist, a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, and an MBA graduate from Warwick Business School, Adam’s leadership style seamlessly bridges top-tier academic rigour with strategic operational excellence. Beyond his direct headship, he has driven educational innovation, assessment strategies, and school improvement across the wider Dukes Education group, while serving on the Board of the Dukes Foundation.
A key factor in Adam’s appointment is his natural alignment with Knightsbridge School’s unique ethos. He is highly passionate about combining robust academic ambition with character development, wellbeing, and future readiness. His personal commitment to widening access to transformational education beautifully mirrors the ongoing mission of The Knightsbridge Education Foundation.
“I am honoured to be joining Knightsbridge School and to build upon the exceptional foundations created by Mr Magoo, Ms Shona, and the wider school community. What stood out to me immediately was how deeply the KS Code is lived throughout the school, creating a community defined by kindness, ambition, and respect. I look forward to ensuring that every pupil has the very best school experience, arming them with the confidence, character, and curiosity needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.”— Mr Adam Anstey, Incoming Headmaster
Adam will be visiting the school over the coming term for informal meetings, providing staff, pupils, and parents plenty of opportunities to connect with him personally. Please join us in extending the warmest Knightsbridge welcome to Adam.
