Year 6, Miss Liz and Miss Sandra enjoyed a trip to Centre of the Cell at Queen Mary University of London to bring their topic of the circulatory system to life.
After a fun trip on a rather busy tube, we met our very enthusiastic hosts and headed up the the Neuron Pod.
We then enjoyed a very informative talk with lots of opportunities for audience participation. Students learnt about the heart and how it works, and compared it to those of bees, frogs and jellyfish. Dressing up was a highlight!
After a quick snack break, we hopped back on the tube and returned to school.
