‘It’s like being in first class – every aspect is top,’ declares a thrilled parent, citing the enthusiasm of the staff and the ‘incredible way that they make learning fun’ as the reason KS kids are ‘the happiest in London whilst still achieving academically’. The community of families is ‘very close’ and unsurprisingly, given its stellar location, very international, which adds to the progressive feel of the place. There are more than 70 after-school clubs to choose from (many of these are sports) and music is strong, with the choir performing at public venues including Harrods every year. Pupils are expected to realise how fortunate they are to be there – the first rule of the KS Code is: ‘I will remember how lucky I am and do my best at everything.’ The new senior school opened in 2020 and is already thriving.
