Guide Dogs Support

Guide Dogs UK helps to support two million people in the UK living with sight loss live the life they choose. Children and adults. Friends and family. Their expert staff, volunteers and life-changing dogs help people affected by sight loss live actively, independently and well. Founded in 1934, following their first partnership in 1931, they are a charity that is almost entirely dependent on donations.

Puppy trainers and volunteers from Guide Dogs UK joined our assemblies to tell us all about their amazing work and to meet the dogs.

Miss Fran and Miss Emma hosted a treasure hunt whereby children were asked to find 12 paw prints around the school in order to win Guide Dogs stickers and Bookmarks!

Local artist Martin Millard kindly donated paintings of Knightsbridge school through the seasons and added a guide dog amongst the community fun. Our Parents Association then created a wonderful ‘Find our pup’ calendar to sell and raise money for Guide Dogs UK.

KS Guide Dog Puppy Name Competition

We received lots of entries, but the winning name was Molly! Congratulations to Dylan S in 1F who suggested the name.
