She spoke with the students about international women’s day and answered lots of science questions…

We had great fun celebrating World Book Day 2021, our theme this year was ‘Inspirational People’ and in their English lessons, the children discovered inspirational figures from around the world and they researched and presented the people who have inspired and continue to inspire them. We had Seniors from ‘Book Club’ reading to Juniors, Storytime…
The children had a whole host of visiting authors last week (online), who shared snippets of their books, ran quizzes and shared their writing experiences with them. This year, we were visited by published authors: Chris Bradford, Lou Treleaven, Chitra Soundar, Nicolette Sheehan and Claudia White.
The students, teachers and parents are all very excited for the return to school next week but are still keeping focused with their online learning this week. Year 4 have been creating sculptures for their river topic, Year 2 have created water cycles and Reception have been exploring their new topic ‘Under the Sea’.
Our Seniors got to enjoy an inspiring talk from our KS Chairman, Mr Aatif Hassan. They learnt about his life journey, from being diagnosed as dyslexic and making this a strength, being in the parachute regiment of the army, his successful career in the City and what motivated him to turn his attentions back into…
KS students had fun this half term completing Miss Fran’s London Landmark Scavenger Hunt! For every landmark, statue, monument and blue plaque found students won themselves a super.
KS’s Eco Committee is completing challenges every week to help keep our community green, the latest was the challenge of creating insect hotels. Keep up the good work Eco team!
