Academic Challenge at St Edward’s, Oxford

Congratulations to the S6 Scholars team who finished runners up at the Academic Challenge at St Edward’s. Those involved made KS proud with their enthusiasm, confidence, clear arguments and general knowledge. Our team took part in a four part carousel of activities which required them to think on their feet, use new information, solve problems and work collaboratively. The Science session was a particular highlight: the children listened to a lecture from a marine biologist about coral reefs and their global decline. They had to take notes and then solve a tough puzzle using the information they had been given, which they did in double quick time. The children should be congratulated for excellent team work and for thinking creatively. What a brilliant achievement it was to finish as runners up.
